On a pitch that was cutting up before kick off it was always going to be difficult for both teams but it was the home side who coped better with the conditions. Despite this they didn't cause the Town defence too much of an issue
On 11 minutes with what was their first attack of the game Town took the lead. Rhys Dix played an excellent cross field ball to leftback Kyle Cockings who fed Ben Scannell. With just the keeper to beat he slotted home in style. With the home side having more of the ball it was Town who were looking the team more likely to score again. It was Scannell who nearly did just that but he hit the post and the game went into the break with the visitors winning 1-0
The home side looked the better for the break whilst Town simply didn't get started before they found themselves behind. On 56 minutes Herdman headed home from close range and then, just 2 minutes later, Seven Sisters Onllwyn were awarded a penalty which was slotted home by Shay Isaac.
Town were clinging on and simply couldn't get in to the game with the conditions playing a part . The game seemed to be going away from them until the 79th minute when Town scored through Elliot Thomas who bundled the ball home after a Ben Scannell free kick. Town were all of a sudden a changed team and then came Roman Legavec's hat trick
On 84 minutes he broke free and powered home a terrific strike giving former Town keeper James Harris no chance. Five minutes later Town were awarded a penalty which Roman again slotted home. With the game 5 minutes into added time Daffydd Hyett broke free and crossed for Roman to strike another superb shot and this proved to be the last goal of the game
