Both Town's centre halves, Craig Davies and Elliot Thomas, scored in the 2-0 win over Ynysygerwn at Parc Ynysderw to give Christian Evans's team a sixth successive win in the Ardal Southern West Division
Having drawn with the visitors at their Llandarcy Academy of Sport ground earlier in the season Town knew this was going to be a tough encounter. Town were missing Ben Scannell through suspension but welcomed back Josh Williams from illness.
Despite other games in the area called off due to the freezing conditions the Parc Ynysderw pitch was in immaculate condition thanks to the fantastic work of Bob Woolford, Head Groundsman, and his team.
It wasn't an exciting start to the game to say the least with both sides cancelling each other out. There were very few chances with Town's defence on top against the visitors but in attack Town were somewhat wasteful.
On 32 minutes Town did though take the lead as Roman Legavec's perfect cross was headed home by Captain Craig Davies for his 4th goal of the season. The visitors continued to have more of the possession but failed to trouble Nathanial Osborne as Town saw the game through to break.
The second half started in the same way the first half finished with Ynysygerwn having slightly more of the possession but with Rhys Dix and Will Thomas, together with the defence, Town were able to deal with anything the visitors tried to develop
On 61 minutes Town extended their lead as, once again, Roman Legavec delivered a perfect cross for Elliot Thomas to score his second goal since joining from Port Tennant Colts
Town could have extended their lead but in the end comfortably saw the game out and remain in 2nd place in the Division
